Thank you for considering partnering with CEF of Hawaii to share ​the Gospel with children in your community!  In order to protect the children we work with, we require all of our volunteers to complete a background screening before being cleared to serve with CEF in a Good News Club or other ministry setting.

Being "cleared" to work directly with children at a Good News Club or other CEF ministry is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Step #1  - Watch the Child Protection Policy (CPP) video.  Using the link below, watch the approximately 10 minute informational video from our CEF USA HQ team.  In it you will learn CEF's policies with respect to protecting our children as well as protecting our volunteers.  Later, during the screening process you will be asked if you watched this video.

Step #2 - Read CEF's Statement of Faith and Worker's Compliance Agreement.  Again, CEF USA HQ has two important documents that every volunteer must read and agree to in order to protect the integrity of our ministry.  CEF is an interdenominational organization and our commitment is to partner with any church which can agree with the core beliefs in our statement of faith.  Our Workers Compliance Agreement basically asks that during our time with children we focus on the basics of the Gospel and the core tenants of the Christian faith.

Step #3 - Complete the online background screening form.  CEF of Hawaii uses a secure, online background screening service called Protect My Ministry.  If you have any questions about the online screening process, please contact Matt Walton at the number below or via email at matt.walton@cefhawaii.com.

IMPORTANT:

Before starting the online background check form please gather the following or have the information handy:

• Your driver's license

• Your social security number

• The physical address for each of the last three places you have lived (in the last five years)

• A brief testimony of how you became a Christian
